About this item
- When the pressure cooker reaches the proper temperature, the pressure regulator will jiggle audibly and you can see the steam being released. The pressure will be automatically maintained for proper pressure cooking. The pressure cooker regulator itself never requires adjustment or testing for accuracy.
- PRESSURE REGULATOR WEIGHT - Pressure cookers and canners utilize a weighted gauge system. The pressure regulator is calibrated to release surplus steam once the pressure reaches 18 pounds. Together with the vent pipe, this pressure regulator constitutes the Automatic Pressure Control mechanism. The vent pipe is connected to the lid, and the pressure regulator is positioned atop the vent pipe.
